Engagement Shoot @ Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

Engagement Shoot @ Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

It’s nearly November in Boston and the sudden drop in temperature barely gave the poor trees enough time to give us a beautiful fall foliage. I took a special couple with me to a beautiful oasis in the middle of Boston, the Arboretum of Harvard.

Quite literally, this park is surrounded by some of the busiest highways and train stations, but once you step inside the iron gates of the park, it takes you away from the city completely.

Robert and Deepa were having their engagement shoot with me. We discovered that a couple months ago, Harvard University installed a FOG MACHINE on a hill! What a special opportunity for a shoot! Unfortunately, with the dipping sun, it was very difficult to get a nice shot of the fog. I’m going to have to visit again and do some test shoots and play with the lighting.

But I’m very excited to share photos of these two lovely individuals.

This is my classic go-to frame. Full length full body shot, with some nice background colors.

Here’s one that I don’t usually do. I arranged leaves all over their bodies and hair. It was actually a lot of fun, and quite easy to do!

Here are some closeup shots of the beautiful diamond ring! It’s brilliant and stunning. See how we used the sugar maple leaves from the park?

As the dying sunlight concluded our photoshoot, we took one last shot. An artistic silhouette. I hope you enjoyed these photos!
